Congratulations to SK Tom Rogers for receiving the 2021 SMOY K of C "Knight of the Year" award. GK Adam Pitz presented brother Tom this well deserved honor at the May social gathering in the Fr. James Brooks Memorial Hall.
Honor Flight Presentation

We were honored to host Honor Flight Tri-State for our May social gathering. Cheryl and Tom Popp, founding members, presented their wonderful cause of bringing our veterans on an all expense paid trip to our nation's capitol to tour our military monuments. For many of the veterans it is their first trip to see these special memorials.
Founded in 2006, a growing waiting list of WWII veterans prompted Honor Flight to begin flying on commercial airlines to accommodate as many veterans and guardians as possible for this one day trip.Since then, Honor Flight Tri-State has partnered with other hubs to form a nationwide Honor Flight Network.
Their is ZERO cost to the veterans. Their cost is picked up by donation and fundraisers. The typical cost for their day long accommodations is $600. The guardian pays their own way, but the memories of the experience will last a life time.
Cheryl Popp along with former Cincinnati Enquirer writer Peter Bronson have written two books so far sharing the many stories of those that have been on the Honor Flight experience.
